ABOUT

Hi! I’m Emily Irish, a Brooklyn-based CG Generalist. I specialize in modeling, texturing, look development, lighting, and rendering, with experience creating everything from polished product visuals to large environments, detailed assets, and imagery for science and experiential projects.

Before freelancing, I spent 3.5 years at Artjail, where I worked on commercial campaigns for brands including Domino’s, MGM, GE, Truly, Dr Pepper, Doritos, and Downy. I contributed to projects such as a Dr Pepper Strawberries & Cream campaign that premiered during the Oscars, a Webby-nominated GE spot, and a Silver Pencil-winning Domino’s x Netflix campaign.

Prior to Artjail, I studied Visual Effects at Savannah College of Art and Design and completed a selective Technicolor training academy with mentors from MPC and Mr. X. I also interned with XR Marin, a regional immersive media program focused on virtual reality, augmented reality, and emerging XR production workflows.

Since moving into freelance work, I’ve expanded into scientific visualization and museum-based imagery.

My main tools are Houdini, Maya, ZBrush, and Substance Painter, with additional experience in Unreal Engine. Outside of client work, I stay involved in the CG and animation community through Women in Animation and local VFX events.

I’m currently available for freelance CG Generalist and 3D Artist work, especially in advertising, games, e-commerce, scientific visualization, museums, experiential, immersive, and emerging-media projects.
