Gordon

Gordon was a six-foot tall sculpture of an imaginary creature I constructed from wooden beams and recycled cardboard boxes with wire. Gordon represents the idea that temporary things are beautiful; as this piece was put together and completed in one week before I destroyed it. The fractals that come together to construct Gordon symbolize my imagination; piecing together fragments to create something spectacular. The viewer can see that Gordon has gaps and places where the triangles haven't been covered yet. I left those spaces intentionally to symbolize that Gordon is an idea in the process of being created.
